General Care for All Handmade Acrylic/ resin Items (not most acrylic signs)
Though acrylic does not shatter like glass, all acrylic is breakable and prone to chip if bumped or dropped. The extent of damage a piece may experience if exposed to some sort of stress is unpredictable.
If your item requires assembly, please minimize assembly and disassembly to minimize potential for damage.
Storage
As art, most items are purchased to be displayed, Please display your artwork in the way it was intended. This means the item is laying flat on a cool, dry, level surface.
When you are not displaying your items, please store in you ExhaustedMomM packaging.
Please note: “lay flat” recommendations are meant to be relative to the item for instance, a photo cube does not have to be laying down on its widest side to be considered “laying flat” as long as the bottom of the picture cube is on a flat, level surface.
A displayed 4 In A Row game is “laying flat” when it is correctly assembled and sitting on a flat, level surface, the chip stopper is removed and laying on a flat surface, and there are no pieces inside of it. When disassembled, none of the pieces should be placed on top of each other or anything else and each piece is laying down on the widest side.
Do not expose to extreme heat or cold or place by a window.
If exposed to heat, the product can melt, warp or shatter. Always place the items flat on a surface being careful not to place on top something else. If placed on top of nothing, the acrylic item can lose its shape or even permanently attach to the other item. If you have a handmade acrylic item that has slightly warped due to not being placed flat and it was not exposed to heat, it may return to its intended shape if laid flat. items left in the sun may yellow or otherwise lose color and could possibly melt.
Cleaning
To clean, wipe with a wet cloth or disinfectant wipe. Cleaners or wipes that do not include bleach or other harsh chemicals are recommended. Using solvents may cause your piece to become sticky. If you notice a film or residue after cleaning as directed, use a plastic polish such as Novus Plastic Polish.
To remove light scratches, Novus Plastic Polish in the strength indicated for scratches is recommended.
General Care for Apparel and Textiles
As functional art, items are purchased to be enjoyed and displayed. Please wear/use your functional artwork in the way it was intended.
Be aware that allowing dust, dirt, and grease to soak into fabrics has an affect on the life of the fabric and any graphics added to the item. As does each washing, drying and ironing any fabric. In short, textiles and fabrics begin to deteriorate immediately after being made.
Cleaning
The best method of care is to follow the fabric care tag on the item if one is available. These care instructions are specific to the fabric and dyes (if any) of the product on which your customization was added.
If there is no item care tag, please hand wash the item or machine wash on a delicate cycle with gentle cleaners. (Personally, I use Melaleuca, All Free and Clear, or Woolite/ Woolite for Darks. I am not compensated for naming any of these products and do not guarantee their safety of efficacy)
Sublimated Fabrics
Sublimation is most commonly done on polyester. The sublimated image is fused into the polyester and is very durable. Follow the recommended fabric care for the item; no special care is required to preserve the writing or image.
Other customized items (vinyl / rhinestone)

Soaking is not recommended. Ironing the customized area is not recommended.
No matter the customization method, apparel and textiles are not guaranteed or warrantied to withstand machine-washing and drying. Scrub, soak, and machine wash and dry at your own risk.
